Antigua Sailing Week Part 1

Antigua Sailing week is held in late April or early May annually. What started out as a small local event made up of a few charter yacht captains and local sailors in 1967, now attracts more than 200 yachts. Sailing yachts race over six days in several events and classes. Each night after racing the island rocks with music and beach parties. On Lay Day (a day off from racing) fun and games draws a wild crowd in English Harbour. About half the fleet racing are chartered yachts. Captains and crews fly in from all points of the globe. Antigua Sailing Week is considered the Grand Daddy of all Caribbean regattas and the most fun.
